The Lighthouse Point Chamber is hosting a bi-partisan Candidate Forum in advance of the March election. Taking place on February 25 from 6-8 p.m., the event will be held in the City of Lighthouse Point at Dixon Ahl Hall, 2200 NE 38 Street, Lighthouse Point.

“The LHP Chamber was approached by several city officials requesting us to organize a candidate forum since there are a couple of seats open, said chamber president Rene Sabatini with Azure Realty. “After discussing, the Chamber agreed to plan and run a forum that would help the Lighthouse Point voters decide who would be best suited to work for them.”

The event will have chamber volunteers moderating with introductions of all the candidates along with questions submitted ahead of time in addition to audience questions the day of the forum.

“Our objective is to make this forum informative to the voters and impartial to all the candidates,” added Sabatini. “We are not supporting any specific candidates but want to provide a forum for residents to learn more about them.”

Residents interested in submitting questions in advance of the forum can email the chamber at lhpchamberoffice@gmail.com with their questions. All questions will be reviewed prior to the forum and several will be selected to ask live at the forum.
