Stark360 PAC Endorses Jim Rubens for United States Senate

Stark360, a PAC dedicated to nominating and electing pro-liberty candidates to represent the state of New Hampshire, has publicly endorsed Jim Rubens for the United States Senate. 

This endorsement comes in the midst of a contentious Republican primary to determine who will enter the race with Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen to become the next Senator representing New Hampshire. 

“Washington DC, the political elites in New Hampshire, and crony capitalists seeking unfair and corrupt advantage in Washington DC have picked Massachusetts outsider Scott Brown as their candidate. New Hampshire deserves better, and in Jim Rubens New Hampshire has an alternative who stands in stark contrast to Brown, whose political positions are on sale to the highest bidder,” said Stark360 Chairman Aaron Day.   

Rubens has founded, operated, and invested in several successful businesses and, as former state senator, stood on principle and successful passed bold legislation battling both parties along the way. Among other legislative goals, Rubens wants to end corruption and cronyism in Washington DC, respect civil rights and protect taxpayers by repealing Obamacare, auditing the Federal Reserve, and defunding the NSA. 

With Republican efforts to take the Senate majority from Democrats this year, Jim Rubens represents a dramatic shift away from business-as-usual politicians. His expertise as a small-business owner and investor offers a unique and principled perspective that the other Republican candidates lack. 

Jim Rubens will be the first Republican US Senate candidate to accept Bitcoin.

CBO Update Shows Demographics Drive Deficits

While there has been some recent good news for the federal budget, The Concord Coalition said today that updated projections from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) should remind policymakers that the aging of the population is dramatically but predictably reshaping government spending and fiscal reforms are the only way to prevent the negative economic consequences.

“Despite a slowing of health care inflation and lower annual deficits since their heights during the recession, the CBO’s projections demonstrate that our basic structural problem remains — growth in just a few programs due to the retirement of the baby boom generation, combined with increasing debt service, have and will continue to push our federal debt to levels not seen since World War II. This will lead to lower standards of living and slower economic growth if we don’t act soon,” said Robert L. Bixby, executive director of The Concord Coalition.

The CBO report offers 10-year baseline projections for the nation’s spending programs and revenue collection along with newly updated economic projections. When viewed along with their recent updated long-term budget projections, the picture is clear: spending on Medicare, Medicaid and exchange subsidies, Social Security, and net interest will grow by 3.4 percent of GDP, while all other spending programs are projected to shrink by 2.0 percent of GDP.

The Concord Coalition also updated its “Plausible Baseline” which applies more realistic assumptions about future policy decisions to the CBO’s data. Under these assumptions, annual deficits over the next 10 years will be $2.3 trillion greater than in CBO’s official baseline.

COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION LEADERSHIP LOBBY ANNOUNCES ADVISORY BOARD

The Community Association Leadership Lobby (CALL), Florida’s leading community association advocacy organization, recentlyannounced the newly appointed CALL Advisory Board, which will provide input on CALL’s vision, strategy and outreach.

The Advisory Board consists of community association industry leaders and veterans from across the state who will assist CALL in prioritizing its policies aimed at enhancing the quality of life and preserving property values for residents of community associations.
